We all have heard the term "Social Media" right? If you haven't, the term basically means that an individual can express his or herself over the internet via blogs, social groups or even by way of video. Social Media sites have absolutely exploded over the past few years.
Did you know that myspace.com has been around since Feb. of 1996 and only recently has exploded? Look at youtube.com. This site was started in Feb. of 2005 and was purchased by Google nearly 2 years later for 1.6 Billion! If that doesn't tell you the power of Social Media and what it can mean for traffic, leads, sales, etc. for your business, then I don't know what does.
Listed below are the top sites in the Social Media venue. Become a member in at least one and get active. Put a video up on youtube.com and you would be amazed on how it can take off.
